Bird of the week - Common Linnet
Common Linnet -Carduelis cannabina-
During the two migration periods, spring and autumn, it's possible to see flocks of hundreds of Linnets at Lista.
This species spends the winter in western and southern Europe, and it is seen here mainly from April to October. At Lista, it may occasionally also occur a few individuals during the winter.
The male is a very beautiful bird with red front and breast, gray head and brown back. The female is a bit more anoniously coloured.
Data from Lista Fuglestasjon since 1990:

Sorry, but we are outside of the spring and autum seasons.|
