The Twite is an irruptive species mainly found along the coast in Norway. It is mostly observed during April-October, as most of them migrate southwards before winter.
It is assumed that there has been a population decline in the interval 15-30% in the last 10-years in Norway and the species is classified as "near endangered" on the Norwegian red list.
